Autism & mental health support · Greater Sydney & NSW

Support that fits the way your brain works.

We're a one-to-one support service for autistic people and people living with mental health challenges. We're not a matching agency or a referral list — our own support workers turn up, and they're trained to move at your pace.

Plan-managed and self-managed NDIS participants welcome.

  • Our own workers
  • Neurodiversity-affirming
  • Never a phone call unless you want one

What we help with

The stuff that's genuinely hard, not the stuff that looks good on a plan.

Executive function, sensory overload, burnout, the phone calls you've been putting off for six weeks. Real support for real sticking points — mix and match whatever's useful.

Getting started & routines

Task initiation, body doubling, breaking the mountain into steps. Someone beside you so the thing finally gets done.

Out and about, at your pace

Community access planned around sensory load — quiet hours, known routes, an exit plan, and no pressure to stay if it's too much.

Mental health on the hard days

Support through low periods, anxiety, burnout and shutdowns. Workers who stay calm, don't take it personally, and don't disappear.

Connection without the small talk

Shared-interest groups, gaming, clubs, a regular coffee. Friendship on terms that don't require performing.

Life skills & independence

Cooking, budgeting, laundry, public transport, moving out. Practised together until it's genuinely yours.

Appointments, forms & admin

The paperwork, the waiting rooms, the calls you'd rather not make. We'll sit with you, or make them for you.

Also: study, work and giving families a breather.

Support to keep going with school, TAFE, uni or a job — and planned respite so parents and informal carers get a genuine break. Ask us about either.

Getting started

Four steps, no phone calls, no pressure.

Starting with a new service is exhausting. We've tried to make this bit as low-demand as we can.

  1. Send us an email

Three words or three paragraphs, whatever you've got in you today. No forms, no online portal, no account to create.

  2. We chat however suits you

Email, text, video with the camera off, or in person. You'll never have to ring us, and we won't ring you unless you ask.

  3. Meet your worker first

You meet the person before any support starts, and you get to say no. If it's not right, we'll bring someone else — no awkwardness, no explaining yourself.

  4. We get going

Regular hours with the same familiar person. We check in as things settle, and change the plan whenever you need it changed.

How we work

We deliver the support ourselves.

We're not a platform, a brokerage or a list of contractors. The person who walks through your door is our worker — recruited, trained, supervised and backed by us.

The same familiar person

Small, stable rosters. You shouldn't have to re-explain your whole life to a stranger every fortnight.

Neurodiversity-affirming

We support autistic people to be autistic. No compliance training, no teaching you to mask, nothing to be fixed.

Low-demand and led by you

Some days are a big outing. Some days are a cup of tea and the washing up. Both are a completely valid use of your hours.

Sensory-aware before we arrive

We ask about lights, noise, smells, touch and transport at the start — not after a visit has already gone badly.

Communication your way

Text, email, written notes, AAC, or sitting quietly together. Cancel by text at 7am with no explanation — that's fine.

Screened and properly trained

NDIS Worker Screening Check and current first aid before a first shift, plus a Working with Children Check where it's relevant.

Funding & who we support

Straight answers, no runaround.

How your plan is managed

Patricia Support is not an NDIS registered provider, which decides who we're allowed to work with. Plainly:

  • Plan-managed — yes. Your plan manager pays our invoices.
  • Self-managed — yes. We invoice you directly.
  • NDIA-managed (agency-managed) — sorry, not yet. You'll need a registered provider — email us anyway and we'll point you somewhere decent.
Not sure which one you are? It's written on your plan, and your plan manager or Support Coordinator will know. Ask us and we'll help you work it out — no obligation.

Who we support

Autistic people, and people living with mental health challenges, across Greater Sydney and regional NSW:

  • Autistic adults and young people — diagnosed, self-identified, or still on a waitlist
  • Psychosocial disability, anxiety, depression and complex mental health
  • ADHD and other neurodivergence, including AuDHD
  • PDA profiles and people who've found other services too demanding
  • Autistic burnout and recovery after a rough stretch
  • Families and informal carers who need planned respite

Say hello

No pressure, no sales pitch, no phone call.

Tell us roughly what's going on and what would actually help. We'll reply honestly — including telling you if we're not the right fit and who might be.
